A restriction on the total number of pets seems really strange to me. If a dog dies, do you maintain a waiting list for the next person who can get a dog? Or is the owner of the deceased dog allowed to get another dog? Is there no conflict about who gets to have a dog? Was the reason for this limitation to grandfather in existing pets when the policy was passed? This would turn me off as a prospective buyer. It would make me wonder if there are other odd policies that would bite me in the future. It would make more sense to me for the community to be completely pet-free. A limit on the number of pets per household is perfectly reasonable and is probably regulated in most areas.
