Newark Area Cohousing is a forming community seeking a site in northern
Delaware, in or near Newark, DE, a college town. We aim to be the first
cohousing community in the First State.

Our location in the central Mid-Atlantic is ideal, putting us about an hour
from Philadelphia, PA or Baltimore, MD; 2 hours from Washington D.C., and
2.5 hours from NYC. The Philadelphia airport is a 50-minute drive, while
BWI is a 1-hour
15-minute drive.  We are just 1.5 hours from the Delaware or Jersey beaches
(Rehoboth &
Bethany in DE, or Cape May & Wildwood in NJ) and right on the Amtrak line
to go anywhere along the East Coast and beyond.

There are real financial and tax benefits to living in DE: NO sales tax!
and Social Security Benefits are not taxed.  Property taxes are generally
lower than in other states.
