Dear Cohousing Friends - Rachel Carson EcoVillage, a multigenerational, welcoming community, is under construction 10 miles north of Pittsburgh and has 26 of 35 units committed. As we are selling our final units, we are encouraging co-buying (alongside other strategies) among some of our potential residents to help with affordability. Request: As we work to better support potential co-buyers, we are interested in hearing of successes by other co-housing communities. Do you have co-buying success stories you can share with us? What advice can you share about your success? If you are interested in learning about co-buying, I recommend Sarah Well’s CohoUS talk: https://cohousinginstitute.org/product/innovations-community-housing/. Sarah is a principal with Live Work Denver https://liveworkdenver.com/ which is a leader in promoting co-buying in Colorado. Live Work Denver offers an online course about principles of co-buying. Thank you!
