I like our tables (can seat 8 or 10 in a pinch) but they are heavy to move. The idea of tables with lockable wheels that would be easier to move around is very appealing.BonnieSwans Market CohousingOakland, CA Sent from Yahoo Mail for iPad On Monday, February 2, 2026, 4:11 PM, Muriel Kranowski <murielk [at] vt.edu> wrote: We've done well with mostly 8-top tables plus two 4-tops. Typically a gaggle of younger kids congregate for meals at one bigger table and the tweens grab a 4-top. I strongly recommend having at least some chairs that people can hang a cane, a tote bag, or a purse on without it sliding off. (Some visitors will have a purse.) Ie, they have finials at each side of the backrest. About 1/4th of our dining chairs have those and they are very handy.
