Hi, all. National Cohousing Month is less than a week away! Can you feel it? I note that while we have around 3 dozen of your events listed on the National Cohousing Alliance's Community Calendar, there's a bunch more that I'm only seeing on your websites, in your newsletters, or on your Facebook feeds. So please do list any event, be it an open house or a house concert or a virtual tour or a work party or games night or whatever, on the calendar so we can celebrate it and send folks your way, plus build your visibility among future neighbors and the community of cohousing communities at large. Just go to: https://www.cohousing.org/events-2/ and log in to the site if you aren't already (this is an important step, and you may find yourself stuck AFTER filling out the form if you don't log in, and get an error about a required image being missing). If you don't have a login, perhaps someone else in your community does. IMPORTANT NOTE: This is the login you may have used for classified ads and Directory entry editing, NOT your Cohousing Institute login used for classes. Don't worry about this difference long term, the two are getting merged next week as part of big changes coming to the site. If you can't make the form work, go ahead send me a link to a public posting for your community event and I can get it up there. It does need a photo, date and time, an address, an RSVP link if you have one (or a zoom link or registration link for virtual events), and just the basic description. Please do include something about the name and/or location of the community in the event name, to make it easier to distinguish among all the events named just "national cohousing open house." If it's something unique, start with that. The group name and location does show up in your listing anyways, but this helps make it clearer and gives people a good reason to click on it. Thanks in Advance for being a part of National Cohousing Month! Let's have some fun with it, build the movement, share the joy, surprise, and connection of our unique member-led cooperative communities. Raines, co-organizer, National Cohousing Month 2026 living at Berkeley (CA) Cohousing where we are a stop on the East Bay Cohousing Crawl (listed on the cohousing.org community calendar linked above), and we're already seeing so many RSVPs that we are staggering arrival times / order of stops for different participants so we don't get too many at once - although we know from experience that some will be no-shows. We're delighted to say that two different families who came to last year's Crawl are now part of our extended community, part of our meals program.
