At Cascade Cohousing we have a legal structure which sais if consensus cannot be reached, the issue is discussed at another meeting. As a last resort a 2/3 vote is required. In general this has not been required, but we have had a number of issues that have caused short term tension. People in the group, by nature, prefere consensus and compromises. John Willson
