Nancy:  My understanding is that ownership in most condo associations
is in actuality limited to the "airspace" of the unit you own.  Since 
condos generally (or often) have conjointly owned plumbing, electrical lines,
HVAC, 
etc, individuals can't own the walls through which these lines run.  So
ownership of a unit is generally defined as "everything from the 
interior paint in, ie, the airspace.
