shipping for others.
The computer program, HOT 2000 Ver.7, is available for Mac or PC from the
same address. They ship to a US version with a US weather data filesbased
on TMY data. It costs: US$325 for the US version (no shipping charge in the
US), CAN$295 +GST for the Canadian version in Canada. The Canadian version
contains some weather data files from other cities (16 US cities plus
Berlin, Germany; Copenhagen, Denmark; Frankfurt , Germany; Glasgow,
Scotland; London, England; Lyon, France; Paris, France; Sapporo, Japan;
Stockholm, Sweden; and Vienna, Austria). Outside of the US and Canada they
charge for shipping.
They will take VISA or MASTERCARD orders.
R-2000 isn't perfect but it seems to be evolving in a useful way.
You might also be interested in a book on an "environmentally advanced"
house that describes one of the Ontario houses built under an Advanced
Houses program in Canada(the next step forward from R-2000). The book is
called Greenhome. The author is Wayne Grady and the publisher is Camden
House.
There is a magazine called SOLPLAN REVIEW which covers this stuff on a
regular basis. It is available for CAN$ 40.66 a year and US$ 46 per year
in the US and other foreign countries. Write
