Rob I agree that community does not need the trappings of a real estate development. However, for me there is a large obstacle to creating community with the people around me. I am afraid a lot of things; being rejected, finding myself committed to people that I cannot agree, and having to give up part of myself or what I believe in to be a part of "community". IMHO, creating community is hard. It's the work of life, an ongoing process that is not appreciated or supported in the current cultural infrastructure. Tom Heavey
