It's true.  "Bucky" claimed to be the inventor of the geodesic dome.  His 
daughter, Allegra Fuller Snyder, who I knew at UCLA, says that noone has yet 
produced an accurate biography of her father.  She had one of the first 
geodesic 
domes in her backyard.
