I've worked on mobile home communities. I think you can make quite successful ones if you use the same principles as successful towns and cities, treating the trailers like normal, street-wall buildings. The community house obviously substitutes for the town hall. One large, quite-successful mobile-home plan was based on the plan of Savannah, Georgia. For those who've never been to Savannah, it uses a system of regular and frequent squares that's unique in American cities.
