Hello there fellow Netters.

My name is Robert (Bob) Middelmann, My family and I have been living at
Marina Housing Cooperative in Vancouver, B.C. Canada for the past year
and enjoy the lifestyle. I work as a Supervisor within the Fire Safety &
Security Dept, at B.C.'s Children's Hospital and as a part time Paramedic
for the B.C. Ambulance Service. My wife is employed at St. Paul's
Hospital as a Trauma Emergency RN. We have a lovely 2 year old
daughter who could melt anyones heart with her smile.

Our Cooperative is located within a highly populated area in the
downtown section of the city. We are a 7 story 63 unit apartment
building with 1, 2, & 3 bedroom units, the building is also attached to a
privately owned condominium building who's owners believe we are
"low lifes" and consider us a Government Social Housing Project
however, if they took the time to get to know the Coop Members they
would learn that our group reflects a healthy mix of persons from all
walks of life including Phd's, single parents, Celebrities etc.

I have recently accepted the duties of the Chair Person of the Fire Safety
& Security Committee and would like some information on what other
similar Coops are doing to combat security problems ie: thefts from auto,
breakins, patrols. If you have written policies and procedures in place I
would appreciate a copy.

Thanks in advance.
