Since you can't really define it all in 35 words, why not come up with 
a statement that inspires the right questions?

"We know how we'd like to live, and rather than looking for the perfect
place, we've decided to shape it for ourselves.  By building or refitting
our own neighborhood, we establish community and a sense of place -- and
*home*.  This is cohousing."
