Willie,
        This description touches something in me. I'm thinking it must be the 
simplicity in it: that is, beneath all the esoteric and, sometimes, 
grandiose, ideas some of us have about an  environmentally correct 
vision is this basic desire to connect to each other in deeper and more 
meaningful ways. Your description captures this PLUS the fact that the 
residents have gone ahead and done the monumnetal work of putting it 
together to make this happen.
