Hi, I'm not sure we ever actually posted the conference schedule and
reg form. If we did and this is a repeat, I apologize. I'm going to try to
put the form on here in a good enough form for you to print and mail in, for
those who haven't registered yet and don't have a form for some reason
(funny, have Univ. Colorado Conf. Services doing the registration we're not
as in touch day to day with numbers--but I think there's still plenty of
space). Rather than printing this form, however, I suggest you call CU
Conf. Services at 303-492-5151and get them to fax you one.

1995 North American CoHousing Conference
Concepts, Construction, Community: Expanding the Vision
Boulder, Colorado, September 28-October 1, 1995
Dear North American CoHousers:
We wish to extend to you a personal invitation to the Second North
American CoHousing conference. We have been hard at work putting together
what we expect to be a very special gathering of CoHousing enthusiasts here
in Colorado.
We are very happy to announce that Richard Register will be the
opening keynote speaker. Richard was the founder of Urban Ecology, a
Berkeley based organization based on the principles of building communities
in balance with nature. He convened the First International Eco-Cities
Conference in 1990 and has gone one to become one of the foremost advocates
for the creation of sustainable communities.
Other presenters and panelists include Kathryn McCamant, Chuck
Durrett, Chris Hanson, Bruce Coldham, Mary Kraus, Jim Leach, Zev Paiss.
This year's presentations promise to offer a wealth of information to both
those new to CoHousing and those who have been living in their communities
for years.
Presentations have been divided into three "Tracks". Track 1
presentations are for those attendees who are new to the process and are
looking for foundational information for themselves and their groups. Track
2 presentations are geared to individuals in core groups who are well into
the planning stages of their communities. Track 3 offerings are for
CoHousers who are living in their communities.
For those of you planning to bring small children to the conference,
we have secured space near the conference location where free childcare
during the sessions will be provided. Each adult bringing a child will be
expected to assist the childcare staff for one session during the
conference. Please indicate on the registration form if you would like
childcare information sent to you.
As part of our effort to promote the exchange of information between
CoHousing groups, potential members, and the professionals assisting the
groups, we will again set up a networking and resource room. Please
indicate on the registration form if you would like to reserve space in this
room.
The Thursday evening opening activities will include a short series
of 10 minute slideshows from various CoHousing communities around North
America. If you would like to be included in this part of the program
please check off the box on the registration form.
