        I can recommend Global Environmental Technologies (GET) as a good 
water filter company.  I know they make counter top systems as well as 
ones big enough to filter the water for a small apartment building.  They 
use a different technology than most and it seems to work great.  The 
filter is supposed to last for 3 years with normal use (one person using 
it).  My last filter was supposed to last that long but it didn't so they 
gave me a credit on the time remaining on the filter!  The best thing is 
that they will buy back your old filter and recycle it!  They give you 
enought money back basically to pay for the shipping back to 
Pennsylvania.  I don't do 
ads for companies very often but I thought since this was such a good 
company I would do a plug for it.  I can send you their phone number if
