Hi There -
Joani reminded me about the gas type flash hot water heaters
which are used extensivly here around New Plymouth, NZ. There are
big gas fields near by and the area is well piped up now.
The new units are very fancy, with electronic thermostats located
at the main use areas, the shower, kitchen, laundry. The reat of
the system runs at the default temperature which is kicked in any
time you turn on the tap.
I just checked some of the specs in brochures I found (at long
last), the flows range from 16-24 liters per minute.
The particular vendors with most of the market are Rinnai and
Bosch. Both are, I think, manufactured in Australia.
