When we were at the "umbrella" stage, our umbrella group was realatively
short-lived -- it only lasted about 4 months until a core group got
established.  Of course we aren't in a large-draw area like Rochester, but
our umbrella group soon lost momentum after a core group developed.

The way we handled finances was with suggested donations at meetings.  We
always seemed to make ends meet.
