Commonweal Cohousing Village of Grafton, Massachusetts, is now in the design 
phase; several home layouts have been drafted and proposed.  Members are 
reviewing the footprints for approval. 
 
We've widened the selections to include 1- to 4-bedroom units; the 1-bedroom 
unit may be a one-story flat, above or below a similar unit.  Home prices 
range from $100,000 to 200,000.  Our wooded site in Grafton will host 30+ 
homes, in three clusters.  There are detached homes and townhouse-style 
homes; some with garages; others with nearby clustered parking. Most units 
have southern exposures and/or a "private-side" (back) view into the woods.  
"Public" sides face inward to common green areas.

Grafton is 35 miles West of Boston; there is MBTA Commuter Rail to South 
Station (current stop is in Worcester; Grafton station opening 1997).  The 
site is less than 5 minutes from the Mass. Turnpike; about 10 minutes from 
Route 495.

We're excited about our progress and are accepting new members.  You can 
still provide design input and enjoy an early home-site selection.
