Cohousing-L Mailing List: Government "Threat" to Co-operative Housing

The Australian State Government of Victoria is reviewing its approach to
public housing -  including co-operative housing.

One option for the Government is to privatise the management of public
housing through a tender process.

This is inconsistent with co-operative philosophy and principles.

I would be interested in any experiences of Government reviews of public
housing which developed anti-co-operative "solutions" and the response to
these with what outcome.
