Reply to Donna Spreitzer: We use the color card system in our meetings and love it. We don't take the cards home; we keep them at the meeting place, in envelopes, and at the end of a meeting we put them back in their envelopes and store them until the next meeting. We have a poster on the wall that reminds us what each color means and the order in which to call on people, plus on the cards themselves we have written what that color means. On one side of the card it says its meaning for discussion and on the other side is its meaning for decision-making. The color card system really does help keep us conscious in our intentions and in our process, and gives everyone a much more equal voice.
