Hi,

Solterra, a cohousing group in beautiful Durham North Carolina,
announces a weekend event April 18-20 for members and prospective
members.

Beginning Friday April 18 at 6:00 PM at the Friends Meeting House, 404
Alexander Drive in Durham with a potluck dinner "preview" of the
community dinners of the near future- bring food to share (for 8), a
serving spoon, a list of the ingredients, and plates and utensils. We'll
have a meal together and hang out. (Out of State folks come empty
handed, we'll feed you!)

At 7, there will be a chance to meet members and people considering
membership in Solterra, a chance to hear an update on the Solterra
project which is in an exciting new phase with groundbreaking for the
infrastructure eminent, and at 7:30, a presentation by various builders
who will show house plans and discuss solar house plans, options and
costs.

The program continues on Saturday from 11-12 with a site visit and tour
of the land- then lunch at 12. Bring your own lunch(unless you're from
out of state), wear boots, and we'll walk the grounds and the common
lands and talk about the future plans.

>From 1-5 there will be a carpool and a tour of area solar homes (cars
can be left at Solterra). At 5, we'll return and if you want, come to
dinner at Neo-China for informal socializing and talking about house
plans, etc.

Sunday, visitors to the area can take a self-guided tour of the exciting
amenities of the Durham/Chapel Hill area and attend the Earth Day
Community Fair from 11-4 on Broad Street and Duke's East Campus or come
to open site at Solterra from 2-4.

We'd love to have visitors from our area or from elsewhere. This is a
free event! Register by April 16.
