A cohousing group (Village in the City) has been active in St. Louis since
October of 1996. We are forming a "typcial" cohousing community along the
lines of the the book by Kathryn McCamant and Charles Durrette. We are in
the initial stages of getting a community together: we are holding regular
meetings, we are evaluating sites in University City, and we have a
preliminary plan for our site and a cost estimate. We are actively trying
to expand our community, and would welcome contact by any interested
households to simon_t [at] kids.wustl.edu.
