Russell Mawby alludes to one of the most crucial points in the issue of housing: That low income housing should not be simply a question of finding enough "shelving". It is not a question of public-private bank ripoffs, or mass-produced boxes. It is about integrating people into a community of people having a wide variety of needs and abilities. It is also about asking people to participate in whatever way they can in meeting those needs -- by working at it, and by helping each other.
