Are any of the cohousing communities out there set up around solar power,
wind power, or hydro power?

I would like to learn something about how those systems/lifestyles stack up
against conventional equivalents. Everything I read about the subject fills
me with excitement, but all the technical people I talk to slam it for
legitimate-sounding technical reasons, not to mention expense.

Some real-world anecdotes would be much appreciated, or referral to another
site.
