Many thanks to David Mandel for his wonderful piece on the Kibbutzim!  I've 
forwarded it all over 
the place.

A couple of comments about the city/country issue:
- You have nothing to be ashamed of for trying to beat out the capitalist 
developer in saving all 
of  the land you can buy.
- Why can't we have BOTH humane city environments AND rational land development 
?
All it takes is to get the for-profit developers actually working FOR our 
communities... instead of 
ripping them off!  The key to that seems to be this cohousing concept of 
"resident-driven design"
from a strong local community.
