This is a very intriguing idea.
However, I wonder how we could deal with the accumulation of mold spores in
such a humid environment.  They have been shown to be a very hazardous
lung problem.

Perhaps a washable surface could be used in conjunction with regular 
disinfection.
Other ideas ?
