The NW Facilitation Circle, an all day workshop for consensus facilitators, will be held Saturday, May 2nd, at the Sharingwood Community. This event will focus the entire day on techniques and skills for consensus facilitators. Much of the learning from decades of consensus work in Intentional Communities will be encapsulated in this interactive event, and in addition to presentations we will use open space to set up small groups where participants will share their interests, experiences and skills. The partipants will receive the Faciliators Resource Kit, as well as other take away materials, book lists, and resources. The three major themes of focus for the day are: Running effective Consensus Meetings. Mediating Conflicts in Groups. Deeping intimacy amoung group members. There will be presentations, and small group partipant led discussions. A vegetarian lunch is provided. Who should come to this event? Anyone who facilitates meetings in a cohousing group, intentional community or other close, cooperative group setting that uses consensus as a decison making process. If you have a particular area of skill you want to present, please let us know. Space is limited!!!! This event is open to only 40 people. If you are interested in this event, register soon. Registration closes April 25th. Cost and Registration. The day long event costs $50 per particant, which includes lunch and materials.
