Cohousing-L Mailing List: Carts

On Fire Island, off Long Island, NY, where cars are forbidden in all
of the numerous communities, everyone uses red wagons for groceries,
suitcases, kids, laundry, pets, and picnic baskets. They can be pulled
by children as well as adults and hold anything smaller than a sofa.
In spite of newer contraptions, the red wagons endure.
