>From the experiences at Sharingwood I would say that self development is good 
way to lose money, lose members, and take forever. At the very least, if you 
self develop, hire somebody like Chris Scott-Hanson to guide you through the 
perils of being developers. To try to do it, without any help, is really 
really dumb.
