My rational for using fiber to the homes is twofold;

  o     Less material between the CH & each home (a couple fiber pairs)
  o     Bandwidth. Fiber will go > Gigahertz.

Cat 5 is limited to 90 meter runs at 100Mhz and that won't rerach all
homes. I'm thinking simple Ethernet here, all the way from the CH Server
to each wall jack.
