Jerry Brown, newly elected mayor of Oakland was on NPR yesterday talking about how there are hundreds of acres in Oakland that he wants to develop so that there can be vital, mixed income, mixed ethnicity housing that will bring people back from the suburbs into the city. Sounds like it's ripe for cohousing. Are you Northern Calif. folks contacting him and educating him about the joys of cohousing? Sounds like a good time to do it. Imagine getting government funding to help cohousing along!
