1998 Northwest Regional Cohousing Conference

September 18, 19, and 20, 1998
Portland, Oregon

Sponsors:  Cohousing Resources, Chris and Kelly ScottHanson and The Steffey
Group, Dan Steffey.
Come join us for this exciting gathering of people from around the Northwest
who have an interest in cohousing communities.  The conference will include
an informal get together to share experiences and tips, several
self-directed workshop sessions focusing on various topics in the field, a
catered dinner with slide presentations from cohousing communities
throughout the northwest, and tours of some Portland area cohousing
development projects.  Anyone who is interested in the concept of community,
including individuals, developers, architects, and planners is welcome.

September 18, 1998 (Friday):
        6:30 pm -- Informal, no-host get together (Old Wives Tales, 1300 East
Burnside.)
September 19, 1998 (Saturday):
Location:  Portland State University, Smith Hall, Second Floor  (Free
parking garage available.)
        8:30 - 9:00 am  -- Check-in  (Sign up for tours of local cohousing 
projects.)
        9:00 - 10:00 am -- Welcome and Opening Remarks
        10:15 - 11:45 am        -- Session I, McCamant/Durrett "Accomplishing 
Ecological
Design in Cohousing"
        12:00 - 1:30 pm -- Lunch (On your own.  A list of nearby food providers
will be available.)
        1;30 - 3:00 pm  -- Session II, Various choices
        3:30 - 5:00 pm  -- Session III, Various choices
        5:00 - 6:30 pm  -- Free Time
        6:30 pm         -- Catered Dinner with slide presentation, Room 329, 
Smith Hall, PSU
                        (Each coho group may present 10 slides, newest cohos 
will present first.)
September 20, 1998 (Sunday):
        10:00 am        -- Meet for tour of Portland area cohousing 
developments.
Cascadia Commons will host a                            brunch for tour 
participants.
