Hi list, I just read the recent requests for 'must read' books, and I would definitely recommend "The geography of Nowhere" by James Howard Kunstler. If you hate sprawl, you'll love this book! Irreverently funny. Also "A pattern language", Alexander et al. Very in-depth, and ultimately useful in understanding why people feel at ease in some built environments and shy away from others. Just my two books' worth. Rose Banks East Tennessee Cohousing Community
