Common house table note: the 3x5 ft dimension seats 6, not 4, with one at 
each end. I visited a boarding school that had tables that size, and they 
were perfect. No wasted space, and everyone could easily converse with 
everyone else at the table. The rectangular tables were lined up, but 
each on a diagonal, which made it seem less institutional.
