Yes, you can do it differently then buy-in pecking order! We choose our spaces by consensus with the fall back position being pecking order if we couldn't work it out. Everyone had two differently colored dots to pick their first and second choice. Most dots went down without any conflict. With those few where there there was a conflict, those folks then looked at needs and wants. With needs taking a priority. We kept going through this process until we all had units that we wanted and served our needs. This was a great exercise in community building by learning to trust the process.
