I think you have hit the nail on the head. People aren't born knowing how to
make consensus decisions. You should get help, and are smart to realize it.
There are great people in the movement who can help you, (one or two will
probably respond to your post) and it is well worth it. A well run meeting
is a community building experience, and you leave feeling hopeful and
invigorated. You could easily lose alot of great new people if they leave
their first meeting feeling frustrated. Many, MANY groups have broken up
because they didn't have good process. It sounds like you have some
fantastic opportunities now. Don't blow it!
