Lynn, I was at those to conferences also and will not be at the Amherst
conference. Earlier today I was talking to a friend (in person at our
weekly neighborhood forum (with Woody Harrelson today!) at Lucille's
Kitchen). She thanked me for posting a summary about a recent party of
circle process training group. It reminded me of posting late night
summaries of the Seattle Cohousing Conference. To look up those reports
(4), search for "conference report" on the www page:

http://csf.Colorado.EDU/cohousing/sep97/date.html

I urge and hope that some of those at this year's conference (Raines?)
will post something to the list during the conference.

Remember that the standards for composition with email are somewhat lower
when timeliness is important; we can read between the lines... That is,
don't worried if you can't post a polished report. And dont worry if more
than one person posts something, the more the merrier (within reason :) .

If conference attendees have a question for the list folks, we might
be able to even get a response back to Amherst!

Another idea: A near real time list session. From time to time I have
what I call "near real time email chat" with people who I happen to
catch online (by responding to a message that arrives while I am checking
my email). It's not as good as a true chat mode but it avoids all the
problems of arranging for participants to use the same chat software.

There is no reason we could not pre arrange a time during the conference
to send and read cohousing-L messages... For that matter we could
experiment before conference.
