Lydia I'm sure you will get specific answers to your questions. I would like to add; What is the purpose of the commonhouse for each of you and your community vision? And this; What do you need to do and have that is in line with your purpose? eg Pinakarri is an intentional community with a commitment to building community. We have a weekly community dinner for anyone who wishes to come and we considered this in our design. We have a small dining space in our commonhouse (your 'cosy cafe' style) - however we have large sliding doors onto a sunny courtyard which embraces the lawned play area. More doors enter a covered walkway that connects two outdoor commonspaces; this area extends the dining options in winter too. Consider what you want, what you've got to do it with (budget, other opportunities and constraints). Then think about how much space you need. Perhaps you've already done this process in which case you'll understand why I think it important. Also, this sort of query comes up from time to time so it's worth looking in the archives. > PS. I hope I get as good a response as the polyamory issue :-) Touche! I hope so too ;0) Warmest regards Robyn Williams Pinakarri Community Fremantle, Western Australia
