Daniel Quinn's ideas are not utopian, but about having the best type of human 
culture possible. And that's more or less what we've had for 99.7% of human 
time on this planet. It's mainly only the last 10,000 years that have been 
#%$#%@ up. Of course 6 billion of us can't go back to that 99.7%, which is why 
his new book is called **Beyond** Civilization.

You might not have a clue what I'm talking about, but in any case, y'all should 
read BC or start first with two or three of the other books. I think a lot of 
what I'm yearning for, that I believe cohousing will provide some of, is what 
Quinn is talking about.

I just wrote a review of BC for a newsletter. It was positive. At amazon.com, 
last I checked, the average review rating was *****.
