I'm excited to announce the following: There will be a Baltimore Cohousing open forum meeting on Sunday, November 14, 1999 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Catonsville Library, 1100 Frederick Road (one mile west of Beltway exit 13W for Frederick Road, towards Catonsville.) Featured speakers will include Ellen Galena, resident of Valley Oaks Cohousing Community in Chico, California, who will talk about what it's like to live in a cohousing community, and Sheldon Bogos, of Heartbeat Cities, a real estate management company specializing in the development of planned living communities. The purpose of the meeting will be to educate the Baltimore community about the benefits of living in a cohousing community and to provide a place for those interested in exploring the creation of a cohousing community in Baltimore to meet and exchange ideas. Please join us for this free event which promises to many people and ideas that are ripe for future development. Try this on for size: Charm City Cohousing -- It's a Modern Village, Hon! For further information, directions or questions, please contact Carrie Burmaster at <cburmast [at] umaryland.edu> or call 301-631-9083. Hope to see you there! Carrie Burmaster
