Hi all! I can't say I have every detail of how this came about but...

One of our group members knew someone who worked for Steven Winter
Associates, a consulting firm specializing in energy systems and green
tech. and she approached him. SWA are also the consultants to the PATH
program for the same. SWA asked PATH on our behalf for funds to help us
study the correct energy systems and green tech. that would work in our
community. SWA/PATH were especially interested in TVC because we are a
cohousing community and also urban. Two distinctions not as then
covered in the PATH programs. We received $35,000 to pay SWA for their
consulting services which have been invaluable. PATH is NOT a grant
program. TVC has "demonstration project" status which means something
in government-ese that I don't fully understand.

$35,000 for consulting services to SWA.

Cool! Go for it. Drop our name around liberally. Who from PATH is
presenting? If Steven Winter himself is there from SWA don't be shy.
He was pretty excited about our project. Sounds like you have a natural
for cooperating on this one!
