You quoted me, but responded to some other list members who called for an end to the topic altogether. I'm personally interested in the ways in which people manage to find common ground despite prejudices and societal norms, and I believe those skills are relevant to successful communities in all contexts. I was just trying to re-focus the discussion, not end it.
