Dear Cohousers,

    Cane Creek Farms near Athens, GA, is now in the early signup stage, or
whatever you call it when you have a site plan and need to recruit residents to
pre-purchase homes :-)

    Cane Creek is designed by Greg Ramsey and his firm, who have already created
two successful Atlanta cohousing communities. The plan starts with a 380-acre 
farm
in a gorgeous landscape. Eventually there will be approximately 200 units placed
on 10% of the acreage with the remaining 340 acres retained as a working CSA,
forests, pasture, etc. The houses will be grouped into seven neighborhoods, each
with its own community house. The plan is to build one neighborhood per year 
until
completion. Sustainability is a goal, and the plans emphasize energy efficient
housing, car pooling, etc.
