Hi, A company called Invisible Structures www.invisiblestructures.com makes a product similar to the grass pavers already discussed. There may be some advantages to the Invisible product as it is designed for heavy vehicular traffic. Again there is a honeycomb pattern of plastic rings (recycled plastic) backed by geo-fabric. The rings are filled to the top with some form of crushed rock and rolled. This can be done by a hand roller. The finished product is totally permeable and forms a tough enough surface that withstands traffic and heavy rains and is supposedly approved under the ADA. It is not cheaper than asphalt but it can be installed by the community. it is worth looking into. Don Arkin, Sonora Cohousing
