I was looking for one in the San Diego area myself...Just a word of 
warning...public transportation in San Diego sucks. And the likelihood of 
anyone not closely related to Bill Gates finding affordable property within 
cycling distance of UCSD is about on a par with NASA finding their Polar 
Lander...Anyway, good luck!
