If you want danceable floors you need to consider the strain that dancing places on the feet. For Ballroom Dancing it is preferred to have wooden floors that are specially done (not expensive just something specific is done) to allow an air cushion under the boards. When I used to teach Ballroom Dancing and I taught on a good floor I could teach all day, but on bad floors I was in major pain after a couple hours. So, why don't you call some local Ballroom Dance Studios and find one that has done it's own floors and can explain this to you? Wood can be considered a renewable resource and somewhat environmentally sound, too! Yours, March
