We have two geothermal heat pumps at Cambridge Cohousing. We have very mixed feelings about them! Our entire HVAC system had significant problems which are still being resolved (some two years later) and it's difficult, if not impossible, to sort out the design issues from the installation issues. I think the clearest message from our experience is that it is still a fairly new technology and that if you use them, particularly for a multi-unit building, you will have to live through the learning curve of your designers, builders, and maintenance people (and learning curves are expensive). - Cindy *******************Internet Email Confidentiality Footer******************* Privileged/Confidential Information may be contained in this message.
