ATTENTION BAY AREA AND SILICON VALLEY RESIDENTS!

=20

Chris ScottHanson, author of The Cohousing Handbook, is visiting the San =
Francisco Bay Area for a free presentation and slide show.

=20

Date and time: October 7th at 7:30 p.m.

Place: Los Altos Library

                                  13 S. San Antonio Boulevard

                                   Los Altos

=20

Directions: From Highway 101, take the San Antonio exit =
south.

From Highway 280, take the El Monte =
exit north, turn left

on Foothill Blvd and then right onto =
San Antonio.

=20

Chris, who is our project manager, will discuss cohousing in general and =
our project in particular, together with members of Oak Creek Commons. =
Because so many of our members come from the Bay Area, we are hosting an =
event in the South Bay for prospective members interested in moving to =
San Luis Obispo County.

=20

Our group is planning 31 units on four acres of a beautiful 14.4-acre =
property, leaving all of the 1,000 oak trees on the remaining ten acres =
for everyone to enjoy. Some prominent features of our project include a =
garage underneath the common house and a swimming pool. =20

=20

The design team submitted our site plan to the city of Paso Robles in =
August. Next, architect Mary Kraus will work with us to design the =
units and the common house. To take advantage of natural cooling, =
heating, and water runoff, we plan to incorporate permaculture into our =
design. =20

=20

For more information about Oak Creek Commons or Chris ScottHanson's =
presentation, e-mail me or OakCreekCC [at] webtv.net.

=20

From: Sonja Eriksson, Sunnyvale member of Oak Creek Commons (who can't =
wait to live close to charming San Luis Obispo and the beaches of the =
Central Coast)!
