Note that it searches the subject lines of all messages since the list started in late 1992. When the subject line reflects the content of the message this works well. This makes one more reason to consider subject lines carefully when posting. Subject lines are never changed once posted. The subject line is by far the most read part of email messages, it warrants considerable care in composing.
